In addition to 30 g. carbohydrates and 200 mg. sodium, 6d energy + caffeine gel is also supplemented with 75 mg. caffeine. This is ideal during longer endurance training (e.g. century ride) to increase the concentration of caffeine in the blood, in the build-up to the decisive moments of the competition (e.g. a steep climb or the final of a cycling race), and/or help to maintain the caffeine concentration in the blood during longer endurance training.
Recommended use:
Use 1-2 gels per hour with a maximum of 5 gels per day.
Take 1-2 gels 30 to 60 minutes before the decisive moments in competition when a mental and physical boost is desired.
After that, one gel per hour is sufficient to maintain the caffeine concentration in the blood during longer endurance training.
Due to the high concentration of carbohydrates (sugar) and sodium, it is recommended to always use 6d energy + caffeine gel in combination with water. This ensures a good absorption of the carbohydrates and minimizes the risk of gastrointestinal problems during training.
