Giovanni 'Nani' Pinarello opened his first bicycle shop in 1953 in the small Italian town of Treviso. Nani was no stranger to the world of competitive bike racing, and his Pinarello bicycle won its first Giro d'Italia in 1975 with cyclist Fausto Bertoglio. From there, one success followed another.
Alexi Grewal won a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics on a Pinarello bicycle, and in 1988, the first Tour de France victory for a Pinarello bicycle, with Pedro Delgado happened.
A new racing champion had been born. And the sleek aesthetic of Pinarello bikes grew to be the must-have for any bike lover.
Pinarello is a road cycling success story
The Dogma model became the top-of-the-line high-end racing bicycle in the early 2000s. Today, Team Ineos (formerly Team Sky) has benefited from its partnership with Pinarello, with Chris Froome, Bradley Wiggins and Egan Bernal all winning the Tour de France on their Pinarellos.

The Dogma racing bike is Pinarello's modern masterpiece in carbon fibre racing bikes and has continued to develop new bikes every other year. The difference between the Dogma F8, F10, F10 Disk, and F12 models
The Dogma F8 is based on Bradley Wiggins' Tour de France win in 2012. It's one of Pinarello's most popular models and focuses on aerodynamics and speed. It's reported to have more than 30% improved aerodynamics compared to previous models.
The Dogma F10 is a unique bike upgraded with several minor details compared to the F8. The aerodynamics are improved, and the aero bar at the handlebars has an even more aerodynamic shape.
The main difference between the Dogma F10 Disk and F10 is that the F10 Disk has disc brakes while the F10 has rim brakes. Additionally, some of the frame geometry has changed slightly to adapt to the new braking functionality.
The Dogma F12 is Pinarello's latest racing bike from 2019. It is lighter, stiffer, and more aerodynamic. All cables hide inside the frame for extra wind resistance. The F12 is the premier top-of-the-line professional bike available today and a true racing machine. It also won the Tour de France in its first race, when Egan Bernal rode on the Dogma F12 in 2019.
The difference between Dogma K8S and K10
The Dogma K8S's biggest advantage is its shock-absorbing abilities. The frame comes from the F8, but the key detail is the shock absorber over the rear tire. It's a small rubber piece that provides maximum comfort. It was developed for Team Sky's (now Team Ineos) stages on cobbles and other hilly races where shock absorption is crucial.
The Dogma K10 also resembles the K8S, but the difference is that the frame's origin is from the Pinarello Dogma F10. The K10 has the same great shock-absorbing abilities but has a more aerodynamic frame compared to the K8S.
